Connected to:

With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options

SQL> conn SD_CON/SD_CON;

SP2-0575: Use of Oracle SQL feature not in SQL92 Entry Level.

Connected.

SOLUTION

To determe if you are falling in the scenario here described just issue:

SQL> column OWNER format a15;

SQL> column OBJECT_NAME format a20;

SQL> select OWNER,OBJECT_NAME,OBJECT_TYPE,CREATED

 2 from dba_objects

 3 where object_name='DUAL';

OWNER OBJECT_NAME OBJECT_TYPE CREATED

--------------- -------------------- ------------------- ---------

SYS DUAL TABLE 25-SEP-11

PUBLIC DUAL SYNONYM 25-SEP-11

SD_CON DUAL TABLE 25-SEP-15

There is a private 'DUAL table.

 You can drop or rename the 'BAD' table after checking with the owner what are

 the reasons to have that special table in a user schema.

bash-3.2$ export ORACLE_SID=ANARDB

bash-3.2$ sqlplus / as sysdba;
